Double Chocolate Chip Halloween Cookie Recipe

Fall is the perfect time for some delicious, warm cookies… so why not step it up a notch and make them Halloween-themed? These cookies are soft, chewy, and sweet. Pair them with a glass of milk for a real treat! I’ll admit, these cookies were a bit of an experiment for me as I altered another recipe to add the chips into the batter, but they turned out great! I brought them to a friend’s Halloween party and everyone loved them. So without further ado, let’s get into the recipe!

Double Chocolate Chip Halloween Cookies
Serves 35 – 1 serving is 1 cookie
Cooking time: 30-40 minutes (20 minutes prep, 10-20 for baking)

Ingredients:
4 Baker’s Unsweetened Chocolate Baking Squares
1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
2 Cups Sugar
4 Eggs
2 Cups Flour
2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
12 Tbsp (half the bag) of Semisweet Chocolate Chips (Nestle Toll House)
64 Pieces (half the bag) of Wilton White Chocolate Candy Melts, Orange Colored

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Melt the baking chocolate in the microwave. Once it’s melted, add in the oil and mix.
3. Add in the sugar and mix.
4. Add in the eggs and mix.
5. Add in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until all the flour is mixed in (since there’s so much, this can be tiring – I like to get my boyfriend to do this part for me if he’s available, hehe. This time, I had to mix it myself).

6. Add in the chocolate chips and orange candy melts. Stir in until they are distributed evenly throughout the batter. Do a better job than you see from me below. (I fixed the distribution after taking the pictures.)

7. Lay out tablespoon-sized drops onto a greased cookie sheet. Try to make sure you have an even amount of orange melts for each cookie – not too many, but not too little either.
8. Bake for 10 minutes.
9. Once you take them out of the oven, let them cool for 1 minute before transferring to wax paper on the counter. They are still a bit soft when they come out of the oven, so this allows them to firm up a bit before trying to move them.
10. That’s it! You’re done! Easy-peasy.

I hope you all enjoyed this recipe! Please let me know if you try it out and what you think of it. Happy baking!
