Fall Bucket List

Fall is the best time of the year! It’s not too hot, not too cold, and so so beautiful! Not to mention, there are so many fun things to do in the fall! I’ve made a list of things I have yet to do this year that I hope I can check off my Fall bucket list before the season is over.

I had so much fun apple picking last year!

Apple picking. Thankfully, I’ll get to check this one off the bucket list this weekend! I was supposed to go last weekend, but it was thunder-storming (in LA! What are the odds?). I’ll be honest, last year I totally went to “do it for the ‘gram”. But once I got there I fell in love. I knew this would become a new Fall tradition for me. The whole thing is so peaceful and stress-free! You get to pick some tasty apples, they play really relaxing folk music, you get to drink the best apple cider and you can buy their super delicious apple butter! Also, I saw these parents bring their adorable little two year old daughter in overalls and pigtails and I was sold. Sorry future kids, you’re getting roped into this one day.

I found the one tree with pretty red leaves last year!

Search for Fall leaves. In LA, we unfortunately don’t get many (if any) fall leaves here. It makes me miss living on the East Coast! I seriously took Fall for granted there. I was too busy being your typical kid who’s favorite season is Summer, just because of Summer break. Oh well. Now I cherish every moment I get to see some gorgeous colored leaves! I’m hoping when I go apple picking, it’ll be a two for one cross off my bucket list. Last year I did manage to see a few leaves (seen above) while apple picking. I’d say about 80% of the trees were green, though.

Look at all this corn!

Corn Maze. Last year I went to a corn maze for the first time in I don’t know how many years! Maybe fifteen? I forgot how much fun they were! I like a challenge, so mazes have always been fun for me… but a maze made out of corn? Even better!

Make Halloween Sugar Cookies. If these weren’t a staple in your house when you were a kid, then you had a sad childhood… or you were like me and just went to your friends houses to get these cookies, haha! I think my mom may have made these once or twice. They are tasty (as all sugar cookies are) and so festive and fun! Nothing screams, “It’s Halloween” like having these cookies in your house.

Watch a movie cuddled up on the couch with hot cocoa. Even if it’s not very chilly outside, I like to pretend it is. If I had a fireplace, you better believe I’d be using it! For now, it’s on my list to cuddle up with Tom under a blanket on the couch with hot cocoa (and mini marshmallows) watching a cute movie. Maybe a rom-com that takes place in Autumn, or something.

Soon, my precious.

Pumpkin Carving. I think the last time I carved a pumpkin was about… five years ago. Is that right?? Man, it’s been way too long! I plan to buy some pumpkins at the apple farm (since their pumpkins look literally perfect – check this one out in the pic above) so maybe I can get some carving done this weekend!

Buy Autumn bed sheets. How cute are these sheets??? It kills me they only sell it for twin beds. I have it on my list to find some Autumn sheet sets (hopefully as cute as this) for my bed. Then I can snuggle up and go to bed in the heart of Fall.

Decorate my porch for Fall. Last year I decorated my porch with some cute pumpkins and orange flowers. I have yet to decorate it this year. Maybe I’ll just default to the same decorations. It would be better than leaving my porch plain as is now, but either way, I’ll figure something out! After all, it’s on the list!

Make s’mores. I know s’mores can be a Summer activity, but for me, it just screams Fall! Gathered around a bonfire dressed up in sweaters, scarves and boots and smelling the smokiness coming off the logs while burning your marshmallow to a perfect gooeyness… I love it. Unfortunately, I’m not sure if I will be able to find or create a camp fire this year, which means I’ll have to resort to making my s’mores over the stove. But hey, at least I’ll still smell the marshmallow burning, right? Close enough.

What’s on your Fall bucket list? Do you have anything I should add to mine? Let me know in the comments below!
