Fall Lookbook 2018

We are already about halfway through Fall, so I’ve put together some of my favorite looks from the season so far! I hope you enjoy these looks as much as I do. Below each outfit links will be listed to items so be sure to check those out! This season, I stuck to a lot of my favorite Fall colors, such as brown, burgundy and a warm orangey-yellow. However, this season I branched out with a few brighter colors that I haven’t typically worn in past Autumns. It was really fun to play around with colors and shapes, and I plan to keep experimenting moving forward!

I based this sweater completely around this new scarf. You’ll see it in several of these outfits, so sorry in advance, but I’m in love with it. It’s chenille, so it’s super comfy and the colors are just amazing! I decided to go with a matching burgundy floppy hat and burgundy boots. My boots are tough and waterproof as well, which make them perfect for a rough Fall activity, such as apple picking! They are from Blondo, but unfortunately, they are no longer selling this pair, so a similar pair will be linked below. Please note that the similar pair are not waterproof. With all this burgundy, I needed a solid base, so I went with a standard gray sweater. My sweater is from Stitch Fix, a company where a personal stylist will ship five items right to your door based on your requests! It’s so great when you don’t want to get out of bed and go shopping or you’re not sure what to buy. For this sweater, request the “Retro D” sweater with the brown elbow patches. I’m sure they’ll be able to accommodate you. I got the sweater a year or so ago, so I’m not sure if they still carry it. If not, however, they will get you something very similar.

This is honestly my favorite outfit I’ve put together for the season and I’m so mad I only took the one picture of it! As you can see, I’m wearing the scarf again, tying in some of the purples from the scarf into the purples of the sweater. This is one of my bolder and brighter outfits from the season and I’ve got to say, I think I love purple for Fall now! This sweater in particular is amazing, because it’s so soft and comfortable, it’s cropped just slightly, and the minimal balloon sleeves are so flattering. I let the scarf and sweater stand out, and kept the rest of my outfit simple with no jewelry, a simple purse and basic colored shoes (“greystone suede” to be exact).

This was a super close second for favorite outfit of the season. I’ve always wanted a skirt like this and with my weight loss coming very close to my goal weight, I was finally able to get one! It took me a bit of time in the morning to figure out which shirt I wanted to pair with it, but I ended up settling on this simple, white long-sleeved shirt from Nordstrom BP. Because the skirt was such an orange-brown, I paired it with my warmest brown shoes: Tory Burch wedges. Again, the scarf makes an appearance! I’m really getting some mileage out of it. The oranges from the scarf went so well with the skirt, I couldn’t resist!

This was another outfit where I experimented with bold colors for fall! I love this pink, because I think it is so flattering on fair skin tones like mine. This sweater is even more cropped than the purple one. I really love that, but if I want to wear it to work, I have to wear a tank underneath tucked into my jeans so that my back or stomach don’t show while walking, bending over or moving around. I highly recommend pairing this sweater with high-waisted jeans like I did. The skin that will show is your waist, which is usually the smallest part of your midsection so it’s super flattering!

I bought this vest a few years ago from Anthropologie and still love it! I kept this outfit pretty simple by matching the black booties to the vest and pairing the vest with a plain burgundy long-sleeved shirt. For an extra little pop of color, I used a burnt orange necklace to add to that Fall vibe.

I love this scarf! If you’ve seen my Instagram, you may have seen that I compared it to wearing a blanket around my neck. It is so soft and comfortable! It’s also the perfect amount of orange and yellow, so with black it doesn’t look like you’re Halloween or a bumble bee. The color of the scarf goes super well with my booties as well. In case you haven’t already noticed, I am all about the warm browns! I’m so in love with this crop top from Nordstrom BP as well. I bought in three colors: black, gray, and a rusty orange.

I’m in love with this new chunky cardigan I got from Topshop. It is so comfortable and ivory chunky cardigans are just a must for the colder seasons in my wardrobe! Tom compares the cardigan to a wearable blanket, saying I’m essentially just wearing a blanket around everywhere. I mean, he’s not wrong. I love pieces like this because I just feel so cozy and snug! I paired it with one of my all time favorite scarves that I purchased four years ago. It has little foxes on it and little orange pom poms. For this look, I was on a short vacation for a wedding, so I wanted to look comfortable yet fashionable.
