We are just one day away from Valentines Day!! So exciting! This will be my second Valentines Day with Tom, so in the spirit of the holiday, I thought I’d give you guys a little recap of what we did last year to celebrate. Of course, it was a Wednesday, so just like this year, we only had evening plans (I mean, we do have full time jobs after all, haha). However, that didn’t stop Tom from sending me flowers at work. How sweet!
So pretty early on, Tom and I decided we would take turns planning Valentines Day. This year is his turn and I have no idea what he has planned. Last year was my turn, though, and I was pumped. A few days beforehand, I nearly killed myself putting up an epic blanket fort – all with a hamstring sprain! I was so proud of it. I made it extra cozy with lights, the giant teddy bear I stole from Tom at a Christmas White Elephant (long story, haha) and even a candle! The candle was only in there for the beginning to add some “wow” factor, but we put it out shortly after because, yknow… fire hazard lol. Below are some pictures from the fort.
We ordered some Domino’s Pizza (because what else are you going to eat in a blanket fort, right?) and watched “What If“. If you haven’t seen it, I recommend it. It’s a pretty cute movie! Overall, it was a really simple, cute and fun Valentines Day. If you want to stay in for the holiday, but also want to be creative, build a blanket fort! Honestly, even if you’re single, just build one, haha! I kept this up for several days and just kept watching TV in there. It was SO cozy! I was sad when I finally had to take it down.
