My Friend and I Checked Out the New Palisades Village!
Over the weekend, my friend Val and I checked out the new Palisades Village in Pacific Palisades, California. If you’re not familiar with the area, it’s a bit northwest of Santa Monica. It is the cutest little outdoor shopping mall! Not to mention, they have the best photo ops, and you know ya girl loves a good photo op.
While shopping around, Val and I came across this cute bakery inside called Sweet Laurel – Real Baked Goods. It was a health foods grain free bakery!
They sell all kinds of baked cookies from cakes to brownies and they also offer hot drinks as well. In case you fall in love with any of their baked goods, they also sell recipe books!
I got their “power brownie” which of course, was grain free. It also had a bunch of ingredients in it that are good for you, like collagen! I have never had a collagen brownie before – it definitely gave me a Beverly Hills kind of vibe. I was expecting it to taste mediocre, but it actually tasted really good! It was moist too. Val got a cortado and loved it.
After stopping in the bakery, we went to Lauren Conrad’s nonprofit store, The Little Market. It was sooo cute! I wanted to buy everything in there!! It was definitely my favorite store in the whole village.
Look at these cute glasses! Val and I went back and forth on if we should buy the shot glasses. We decided to save it for another time. I seriously wanted to buy everything in the store, but there were two items in particular I had a hard time walking away from. Anyone who knows me knows I have a stuffed animal problem (hehe). If it’s soft and cute, I want it! The Little Market had the cutest alpaca stuffed animals!
I did end up walking out of the store with two cute new frames for my apartment. I love mixing materials and textures, so these frames will fit in perfectly with my place! I also don’t have very many table frames, so I was able to justify it to myself (haha).
Next, we went to the Pali Petals Flower Truck and it was SO CUTE! I am a sucker for VW buses and flowers.
One of my favorite things about Pali Petals is that you can buy flowers, of course! Not just that, but you get to handpick the bouquet yourself. You can buy an individual stem for $5, a bundle (bouquet) of flowers for $25, a palisades tote for $25 or both the tote and bundle for $45. Of course, I had to get a bundle! I had a ton of fun picking out which flowers would go into my bouquet.
After buying my beautiful bouquet, we continued to walk around and found ourselves in the Amazon bookstore. It’s a great store if you’re looking for gifts for others, and of course, if you’re looking for books! I may need to go back one day and buy myself an Alexa. Also, if you’re weakness is children’s books (like me), Amazon Books has a great selection.
I’m not sure how long it’ll be around as I am sure it’s a promotion for the new opening, but they had this cute little ice cream truck giving away free ice cream! Go soon so you can get your free ice cream. I got a snow cone and Val and I enjoyed our ice cream on the lawn within the village where they played live music. It was cute watching the little kids dance to the jazzy songs.
There’s a movie theater located just beyond the ice cream truck, but it’s not open yet. It’s a fancy movie theater, though, where they serve high class food and drinks. I love that it’s there, because since the Palisades Village is a bit out of my way, I could make a day of it by going shopping and then watching a movie!
Finally, Val and I ventured across the street and came across this super cute store called Kier Design. It’s a home decor store and currently they have the cutest Halloween decor!
Val and I both ended up buying one of these adorable little mummy mice! They were way too cute to pass up and I had never seen a Halloween decoration like it. The sales associate informed us they get new products in all the time. I highly recommend checking out this store, especially if you are holiday-crazy like me and love to decorate.
If you’re in the area or find that you have an open weekend, I definitely recommend checking out Palisades Village. Some of the stores can get pricey, so it’s best for window shopping or if you have saved up a little extra cash and want to treat yo ‘self! Do you plan on checking it out? What’s the cutest thing you’ve purchased lately? Let me know in the comments below!

Yeah, check it out when you get the chance! 🙂 The village has it’s own underground parking. The first half hour is free and every half hour after that is $2. There are plenty of parking spaces!
